At The Strings Club, we are looking for super friendly, experienced and positive people to join us for fun-filled work at our 5* rated Holiday Camps. We have a range of hours on offer to suit you plus our venues are all located close to handy transport links. Plus you'll be paid within a week!

Hours to choose from:

  • Holiday Camp Manager: 7:30am - 6pm
  • Holiday Camp Assistant 1: 7:45am - 5:45pm
  • Holiday Camp Assistant 2: 9am - 4pm
  • Holiday Camp Assistant 2a: 1 - 6pm (Mon to Thurs) or 9 - 1pm (Fri)

The Strings Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all team members to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including at least two checks with past employers (character references are now being accepted), the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), as well as child protection training.

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • You must have an Enhanced DBS on The Update Service and be able to provide details of this ahead of an interview **
  • Personable, flexible, confident and well presented
  • Have experience working in childcare with primary school aged children
  • Be highly organised and able to effectively assist a large group of children
  • Are over the age of 18 and have the right to work in the UK

** If you do not currently have this, you will be required to obtain one which we can assist you with. The current cost is £68.50, plus £16/year to put it onto the Update Service.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Educated to a minimum NVQ Level 2 childcare or equivalent
  • Be paediatric first aid trained *

*We can arrange for you to attend a Paediatric First Aid Course that suits you.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality childcare in line with Ofsted standards and our "Achieving Excellence" guidelines
  • Working closely with your team to deliver engaging, dynamic, age-appropriate and fun activities and workshops, with enthusiasm and confidence
  • Supporting children's wellbeing and enjoyment throughout the day
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment whilst following safeguarding and health and safety policies
