We are looking for candidates to join our team of creative, enthusiastic, professional and caring freelance workers with an interest in facilitation and who are available to work at various levels of responsibility within our Holiday Programmes.

Job Description

BE PART OF A PASSIONATE TEAM TO CREATE AND FOSTER A NURTURING AND CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO THRIVE.

KEY DATES*

WEEK 1 - 21st - 25th July

WEEK 2 - 28th July - 1st August

WEEK 3 - 11th - 15th August

WEEK 4 - 18th - 22nd August

LOCATIONS

We deliver programmes in North, South and East Bristol as well as South Gloucestershire.

RATES

£14 - £20 per hour depending on position offered within delivery team.

20-30 hours per week, up to four weeks of delivery during the period.

All successful applicants will be contracted to Unique Voice on a Freelance basis following safer recruitment checks which includes having (or obtaining) a satisfactory child workforce enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Job Requirements

We welcome applications from candidates who have:

  • Experience of working with children or young people
  • Ability to build an authentic rapport with children and young people
  • Ability to empathise with the different needs and concerns of children and young people
  • Are engaging, fun and imaginative
  • Are flexible, reliable, punctual and are able to work effectively within a team
  • Have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS Check and register with the Update Service. Unique Voice is approved to process this on your behalf (charges will apply)
  • Awareness of safeguarding
  • Willingness to carry out company policies, in particular with regard to safeguarding and child protection
  • Are willing to work as a self-employed facilitator and be responsible for your own declaration to HMRC

Job Responsibilities

Each programme comprises a Manager, Head Leader and one or two Assistant Leaders, depending on the number of participants

All roles require the ability to form an effective working relationship with team members and participants.

ASSISTANT LEADER: Supporting Managers and Head Leaders throughout by completing activities as requested. Role requires knowledge of workshop plan and structure, understanding of policies/procedures

HEAD LEADER: Responsible for facilitating the main activities by delivering the Unique Voice provided scheme. Thorough knowledge of workshop plans and structure and skills to guide participants using Unique Voice behaviour management strategies and policy guidelines.

MANAGER: Overseeing the programme and being main point of contact for parents/carers and programme/management teams. Thorough knowledge of workshop plans and structure and skills to guide participants using Unique Voice behaviour management strategies and policy guidelines and Safeguarding.

Recruitment Process

Recruitment into our freelance team in ongoing, and we review applications as we received them. If you have made a successful application we will invite you to join our next interview session with available spaces.

We host in-person interviews on the First Thursday of every month, which include a group session where we ask all applicants to come prepared with an workshop activity or game to be shared, alongside a short interview with one of the development team.
