Tullie is looking for a permanent HR & Business Support Administrator to join our team at an exciting moment in our development, as we deliver Project Tullie - an ambitious capital development programme that is transforming the museum and its role at the heart of Carlisle.

You will support the day-to-day running of Tullie's HR function under the line management of the Head of Collections & Engagement and with advice, training and support from our external HR expert.

Job Requirements

Overall Purpose

Deliver the administration of the HR functions of the organisation, including coordinating recruitment administration, collating performance management reports, monitoring and administering training activities and maintaining a central database of all service contracts entered into by the Trust.

Proactively maintain HR records and regularly liaise with the outsourced HR expert to update and review HR policies, providing advice, opinion, and information as required.

Work with colleagues within the Senior Leadership Team and across the organisation to ensure a smooth delivery of service

Job Responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Administer the recruitment, new starter induction and leavers processes for all posts. Support Managers to ensure the correct policies and procedures are adhered to.
2. Support Managers in administering the annual appraisal process across the organisation.
3. Maintain training records, ensuring that all statutory training is up to date. Monitor and report on the annual training budgets.
4. Maintain records for sickness and absence, Occupational Health (OH) management, holiday entitlement and TOIL.
5. Assist the Finance Team with payroll administration and queries.
6. Implement and maintain the organisation's online HR portal and internal filing systems for HR records, always ensuring confidentiality.
7. Proactively implement changes to policies and procedures working with the outsourced HR experts.
8. Support the Head of Collections & Engagement with the administration of the Trust's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategy, including recording info.
