Description
Interactive Theatre International are looking for a new Front of House Attendant to join their busy team.
Shifts range from:
- Wednesday - Sundays set on a rota
- Regular evenings on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays. Matinee and evening shows on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Pay is £12.21p/h. Hours 10 - 20 per week. We are open to those who are in full time education or employed in other work during the week and are willing to be flexible about shifts; however you must have good general availability across the 5 days.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up the room including setting props and opening the reception area, some lifting required.
- Checking tickets and selling merchandise
- Taking care of actors and the running of the show
- Taking payment for door sales and keeping track of money taken or petty cash used to purchase props.
- Stage management - including ensuring music is played at correct times.
- Looking after props and ensuring they are stored correctly
- Representing ITI during the show and solving any problems that may arise during the show
- Signing off with the hotel to ensure correct invoicing.
- Liaising with the venue regarding seating plans, show numbers & guest dietaries
- Helping to update seating plans and answer customer service emails.
- Further opportunities may be available within the box office team
Personal Specifications:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is outgoing and confident talking to customers both on the phone and in person.
- Is confident in dealing with customer service and guest issues onsite should they arise.
- Is reliable and trustworthy.
- Has great attention to detail.
- Has a professional written manner.
- Is a good problem solver and quick thinking.
- Has an interest in the arts, in particular theatre (not essential but recommended).
- Has availability to start in May/June
