Job Summary

Tiwani Contemporary seeks an Assistant Registrar Intern with strong admin skills, attention to detail, and an interest in logistics, exhibitions, and art handling. Ideal for someone organised, efficient, and eager to support a fast-paced team across operations and production tasks.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

  • Assist the Registrar in maintaining the Artlogic database: cataloguing, formatting, updating artwork locations and customs statuses.

  • Upload image credits, certificates, and organise image files from photographers on Artlogic and Google Drive.

  • Order and track packing materials.

  • File invoices and keep admin records for accounts.

Client & Supplier Liaison:

  • Request and compare quotes from shippers, framers, and other suppliers.

  • Follow up with vendors and logistics partners.

  • Help create sales packs: prepare certificates, condition reports, and send WeTransfer packages to clients.

Condition Reports:

  • Manage condition reports in Articheck.

  • Assist with checks during installs or storage visits: take reference photos, create/update reports in Artlogic.

  • Ensure all reports are revised with each artwork movement.

Exhibition & Project Support:

  • Help prepare exhibitions and special projects: get production quotes, shipping estimates, schedule deliveries.

  • Prepare install documents (checklists, layout plans, handling guides).

  • Track production timelines and liaise with artists or studios.

  • Ensure all install materials are prepped.

  • Support Registrar on-site during installs/deinstalls.

On-Site and General Support:

  • Attend all openings as gallery representative.

  • Occasionally cover the front desk.

  • Join off-site visits (fairs, storage, conservators, etc.).

  • Retouch walls if needed.

  • Keep on-site storage tidy and organised.

Candidate Profile:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Strong interest in contemporary art, logistics, and exhibition-making.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

  • Familiar with (or willing to learn) Artlogic, Articheck, and Google Drive.

  • Flexible, collaborative, and solution-oriented.

Salary at Minimum Wage / 35 hours per week Monday to Friday / 6 months internship
