Job Description

The National Lottery Heritage Fund

As the largest funder for the UK's heritage, our vision is for heritage to be valued, cared for and sustained for everyone, now and in the future.

We believe in the power of heritage to ignite the imagination, offer joy and inspiration, and to build pride in place and connection to past.

Our mission is to use our expertise to support and champion the UK's heritage and demonstrate the transformative potential of National Lottery funding through delivering our new strategy Heritage 2033. We ensure that money from The National Lottery makes a decisive difference for people, places and communities.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Investment Manager on a permanent contract based in any of the Heritage Fund's offices in the Midlands and East - Birmingham, Cambridge or Nottingham (Hybrid Working).

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the Investment Team to deliver investment activity across the Midlands and East area, as part of an experienced and supportive team. This is a unique chance to leave your imprint on national heritage, assessing and monitoring applications, providing advice and guidance to applicants and taking part in outreach activities to support the delivery of our new strategic plan, Heritage 2033.

We will provide training and support and you will have opportunities to visit heritage places and meet the organisations delivering the projects. You will collaborate with our wider team, including Marketing and Communications, and gain an in-depth understanding of the Heritage Fund's work supporting heritage across the UK.

  • Applications close on 4 January 2026.
  • Interviews are expected to take place on 14 January 2026.
