Full-time (41 hours per week, including one hour paid lunch break) Fixed term (until 31 December 2025) £34,713 per annum Application deadline: 12pm (midday) on 14 April 2025

About the role:

The British Museum's International Training Programme (ITP) seeks to create a global network of museum professionals, through a London and UK-based annual programme, complemented by a diverse range of legacy projects. This post will co-ordinate the management of legacy (further engagement) projects as well as support the delivery of the annual programme. The post-holder will need to be aware of Museum strategy, work across the organisation, and engage with the wider museum sector (UK/international).

Job Requirements

About you:

  • BA or similar in relevant area.
  • Experience of working on complex projects and programmes with input from both UK and foreign institutions
  • Proven social skills including active listening, conflict resolution, and building relationships
  • Awareness of cultural and political issues in international museum relations.
  • Good computer skills (Word, WordPress, Excel, Photoshop, Powerpoint & social media platforms).

Job Responsibilities

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Manage the ITP legacy (further engagement) projects
  • Coordinate support, resources, and reporting across all ITP legacy activities
  • Monitor and report on all ITP legacy spend, maintaining budgets
  • Create, develop, and deliver digital engagement for ITP legacy projects
  • Support the delivery of the ITP annual programme
