Artnet is the leading international platform to buy, sell, and research art online. We connect millions of collectors globally with the world's leading galleries and auction houses, with a focus on making the art market more transparent.
As a specialist, you will be an integral part of the Artnet Price Database, the most comprehensive archive of international auction results ever recorded. In this role, you will build key client relationships to drive the accuracy, timeliness, and growth of one of our core products. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of art coupled with the ability to engage clients in moving their businesses forward.
We are looking to add a team member to either our London or Berlin office. Even though this is a remote position, candidates need to be located in the UK or Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Copy edit and translate auction information from 80 to 100 auction houses
- Update and maintain a calendar of auctions
- Edit the artist database by adding or updating artist biographical details
- Create relationships with auction houses to collect data, auction results, and timely updates
- Collaborate with the Client Services Team in meeting production deadlines and volume for paying clients
- Collaborate with the Analytics Team in verifying the comprehensiveness and accuracy of data used in Analytics Reports
- Improve products, services, and tools by contributing ideas and assisting team projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in art history, fine arts, or arts administration
- Reading fluency in French is required
- Proficient knowledge of the PC platform, Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Positive and team-focused attitude
- Ability to extract valuable information from large volumes of data
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to take on new tasks and responsibilities
