Key Seeds is an artist development programme for creatives based in Peterborough and the surrounding areas who are making theatre based work. Successful applicants will receive a yearlong creative attachment to Landmark Theatres and the majority of the work will be based and delivered at the Key The
We are looking for
- Artists/companies who want to make work between April 2026 and November 2026
- Ideally those who have previously made work professionally although we welcome applications from early or mid career artists/companies
- Those who are looking to use this seed commission to secure additional funding to support the development of their work
- Work that speaks to the multiculturality of Peterborough and the spirit of the community. We want to hear from artists who have something to say and want to make vibrant, engaging and accessible work for diverse audiences
What we offer
- A seed commission between £1500 and £2500 to go towards your development/production budget for the sharing
- Free rehearsal space at the Key Theatre
- Mentoring support
- Access Support
- Dramaturgical and developmental support for your idea
- Work in progress programming at the Key Theatre in November 2026
- Support with inviting industry professionals to see your work
- Artists/companies who want to make work between April 2026 and November 2026
- We suggest around 10 days of work, with working hours being 10am-5pm.
- Artist are expected to share a work in progress at our New Work festival in November 2026
- Ideally those who have previously made work professionally although we welcome applications from early or mid career artists/companies
- Those who are looking to use this seed commission to secure additional funding to support the development of their work.
- This bursary can be used in any way to support the work. This can include your time to create work, working with others etc.
- Work that speaks to the multiculturality of Peterborough and the spirit of the community. We want to hear from artists who have something to say and want to make vibrant, engaging and accessible work for diverse audiences.
