Creative Allsorts is seeking an experienced and inspiring Lead Musical Theatre Facilitator to lead its Little Allsorts (ages 3-6) and Rising Allsorts (ages 7-9) classes. This role is ideal for a confident practitioner with strong skills in musical theatre and experience delivering engaging, high-quality sessions for children in a creative education setting.

You will take full responsibility for planning and delivering weekly musical theatre classes, creating a fun, structured, and supportive environment that nurtures confidence, creativity, and performance skills.

Class Schedule & Commitment
This is a freelance, termly role with ongoing opportunities throughout 2026 and beyond. Sessions run weekly during term time, with occasional flexibility around absence where cover can be arranged.

Dates: Sunday 19th April - 12th July 2026 (no class 24th May)
Times: 11.15AM - 12.15PM (Little) & 12.30PM - 2.30PM (Rising)
Location: Live Well North East, Sacriston

Continued availability for the Winter Term (13th September - 6th December, no class 25th October) would be
highly desirable. Applicants are asked to indicate their likely availability in their application.

Fee
£25 per hour, dependent on experience.

Job Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Proven experience leading workshops or classes in performing arts or education
Strong professional or training background in musical theatre (acting, singing, and dance)
Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience working with children in group settings
Confident classroom management and group leadership skills
Ability to plan structured, engaging, age-appropriate sessions independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic, reliable, and professional approach
Commitment to safeguarding procedures (training provided)
Ability to provide references
Reliable ability to consistently attend sessions on time

Job Responsibilities

As the Lead Facilitator, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality musical theatre sessions each week
Lead warm-ups, games, and structured training in acting, singing, and movement
Choreograph and develop performance material for class showcases
Manage group dynamics and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Adapt sessions to suit different ages and abilities within the group
Direct rehearsals and contribute to end-of-term performances
Work collaboratively with the Assistant Facilitator
Communicate effectively with parents/carers where appropriate
Ensure sessions run smoothly, safely, and professionally
Oversee setup, delivery, and pack-down of all classes and materials
