Working closely with our Head of Special Projects, SMT and the Artistic Director, the Learning, Outreach & Engagement (LOE) Manager is responsible for managing our core Learn & Train programmes as part of our ongoing weekend residency at Southbank Centre, London which, in addition to our development workshops, includes our flagship performance ensembles - Junior Band, Youth Ensemble, Frontline and TW Big Band. The LO&E Manager will manage a small team that is responsible for the delivery of a Learn & Train programme, performance programme, and for the development of our outreach activities with schools, Music Education Hubs, and other partners in the UK and internationally. Through our weekend residency at Southbank Centre and national outreach, Tomorrow's Warriors delivers in excess of 450 workshops and performances for/by young people each year, engaging with more than 40,000 people per year as participants/audience. The LO&E Manager is also responsible for driving the engagement work of the organisation, focusing on enhancing and increasing the involvement of key stakeholders. We are looking for someone with: At least 3 years' experience in music education, talent development or the third sector Knowledge & appreciation of diversity issues and a commitment to delivering the Creative Case for Diversity Passion for music, especially jazz, with good knowledge of the music industry and arts sector Minimum three years' relevant experience in a management role in an arts or music education organisation In-depth knowledge and understanding of music education practice Demonstrable experience of devising, delivering and managing a varied programme of high quality small-/large-scale educational and development activity with young people, adults and professional artists Knowledge of GDPR and data protection-related issues on communications, campaigns and media Excellent administrative, organisational, planning and record keeping skills IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and using databases Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibility for the management of the Learning & Engagement department Faculty lead on inclusion, risk management, child protection/safeguarding policies and procedures Advocate for TW in respect of all music education and engagement programmes Lead on the development and delivery of TW's weekly core Young Artist/Emerging Artist Development Programmes Establish links with the education sector and music industry Working with the Production team, deliver a programme of events for our flagship and development ensembles Develop and deliver an enhanced outreach programme Manage and inspire music leaders Lead on CPD for music leaders and L&E team Provide regular reporting for management and funders Lead on the development of the pedagogical and operational strategies ensuring that accessibility and diversity are embedded.
