Description

Job Description

Liverpool Philharmonic's flagship social action and community development programme, In Harmony Liverpool, has gone from strength to strength over the years, now working with over 1750 young people across North Liverpool.

We're currently looking for a Learning Projects Co-ordinator to help organise In Harmony programmes and activities for young people, their families, schools and communities, and ensure that all rehearsals and events run smoothly and successfully. This is a hands-on role, where you'll be responsible for building strong relationships with participants, partners and stakeholders, serving as a first point of contact for all involved. Alongside musicians and administrators, you'll work to grow In Harmony's reach and diversity, using participant feedback to inform the programme's direction.

If you're a motivated, dynamic and organised communicator, with a keen interest in working with young people and a great knowledge of music, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Requirements

This job is for you if:

  • You are passionate about music and its impact on children and young people
  • You enjoy working in a fast paced, exciting environment
  • You thrive working in a creative environment
  • You are confident at juggling multiple priorities and projects
  • You have an interest or experience in event management
  • You can respond quickly to changing circumstances, confidently thinking on your feet
  • You can work autonomously and also as part of a wider team

This job isn't for you if:

  • You cannot work unsociable hours
  • You feel less confident in engaging with children and young people
  • You are looking to be involved in the musical delivery of activities, rather than the operational and pastoral delivery

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day operational and logistical delivery of both in-school and extra-curricular activities.
  • Working with musicians, schools, young people, families and community members.
  • Facilitating youth ensemble rehearsals, events and activities.
  • Responsible for the pastoral care of large groups of children and young people.
  • Effective administration of the programme's instrument resources.
