We are looking for an LX1 to join the crew of 2:22 on the second leg of their UK Tour. As LX No.1, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all lighting equipment as per the Lighting Designer's specification and overseeing members of the lighting department.

The critically acclaimed, supernatural thriller 2:22 is currently on the second leg of its 2025-2026 UK Tour. We are looking for an LX1 to join them.

Written by award-winning writer Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcast The Battersea Poltergeist, the production is directed by Matthew Dunster and Gabriel Vega Weissman.

As LX No.1, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all lighting equipment as per the Lighting Designer's specification and overseeing members of the lighting department.

Job Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Prior experience of as LX No.1 in mid to large scale theatre productions
  • Experience with Eos Family lighting consoles.
  • Knowledge of working with timecode and LED technology for troubleshooting purposes.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating the lighting equipment for each performance.
  • Attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required; to lead, manage and control all aspects of the LX fit up, show running and get out and to maintain overall responsibility for the lighting equipment.
  • Be responsible for the safe working practice of your department and safe use of equipment, ensuring codes of practice and current regulations are adhered to
    Supervise the local LX crew in the safe operation of all LX equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, to ensure the smooth running of the show.
  • Prepare cue sheets and effects lists.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
  • Keep a record of all kit returns during the production run.
  • Ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • To carry out all other duties normally associated with the role of LX No.1 on a tour of a first-class play.
