We are seeking a proactive Marketing & Admin Manager to support the delivery of the Trust’s marketing strategy, including website content and social media management, alongside the operational administration of the Manor House as an art gallery, museum and event space.

Job Description

Ilkley Manor House is a Grade I listed historic building in the heart of Ilkley, home to an art gallery, museum and event space, alongside a range of let cottages. We're looking for an organised, creative and proactive Marketing and Operations Manager to help us run the House smoothly day-to-day while raising its profile across Ilkley and the wider region.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining operational management with marketing and communications. You'll work closely with the Chair, Events and Exhibitions Manager, Visitor Engagement Leads and volunteers, playing a key part in how the Trust is managed, promoted and recognised locally.

Standard working hours

50 hours per calendar month. (Flexible - Monday-Friday preferred however weekend working and involvement may be necessary within the allocated hours. Exclusive weekend working is not acceptable for this position)

Some additional ad hoc hours (Up to a maximum of 75 pcm) may be requested and will be negotiated case by case.

Salary / hourly rate
£17.79 per hour

Job Requirements

What we're looking for:

Essential Skills

Experience in marketing, communications or PR, ideally within the charity, arts or heritage sector

Excellent written English and confidence producing press releases, newsletters and website content

Comfortable with digital tools including WordPress, social media, email marketing and ticketing platforms

Strong administrative and organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities independently

A collaborative, self-motivated approach and a passion for arts, heritage and community engagement

Desirable Skills

Experience with paid social media campaigns, Adobe Creative Suite, print-ready materials, or existing media contacts in Yorkshire

Job Responsibilities

What you'll be doing at a glance:

Overseeing the day-to-day administrative, financial and operational running of the Manor House and its cottages

Acting as Secretary to the Trust Board, supporting governance and Charity Commission compliance

Managing enquiries, bookings and tenant relationships for events, weddings and cottage lettings

Developing and delivering the Trust's marketing strategy across digital, print and media channels

Maintaining the website, social media, e-newsletters and press relations

Coordinating maintenance, contractors, insurance and compliance for a Grade I listed building
