Job Description

Pegasus Opera Company is looking for a part time (2 days a week) Marketing and Administration Officer to join our small but passionate team. You'll play a vital part in both the smooth running of our office and the storytelling of our work, from supporting day-to-day operations to creating digital content that celebrates our artists and productions. Job Requirements

Administration

  1. Provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team.
  2. Manage and organise schedules, meetings, and events and database management.
  3. Handle correspondence (emails, phone calls), acting as the first point of contact.
  4. Maintain accurate programme records through Illuminate and assist with report and presentation preparation.
  5. Undertaking research across a wide range of subjects relevant to the company's productions and operations

Content Creation & Marketing

  1. Lead on in-house content creation for Pegasus Opera's digital channels (social media, newsletters, website).
  2. Develop and design promotional materials (flyers, programmes, press releases).
  3. Manage and grow Pegasus Opera's social media presence, ensuring consistent branding and engagement.
  4. Collaborate with the Artistic and Talent Directors to spotlight artists and projects.
  5. Contribute creative ideas to strengthen Pegasus Opera's profile and reach.

Person specification

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an opera company, theatre, or wider performing arts organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules, meetings, and events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Experience of managing databases and maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to undertake broad research to support artistic, operational, and strategic needs.
  • Demonstrable experience creating engaging content for digital platforms (social media, newsletters, websites).
  • Familiarity with graphic design and digital content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Competence in designing promotional materials (flyers, programmes, press releases), with good attention to detail and brand consistency.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to work both independently
