We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Marketing and Communications Officer to join the Hive Curates team for 3 days a week. We are looking for someone with a fresh vision and strategic mind to help grow our impact through social media, website content, and all communications.

Job Description

This is an exciting time to join Hive Curates as we continue to expand and work on a wide range of projects in 2026 and 2027.
We want someone that will match our ambition, become part of the team, and grow with the company. The position is a hands-on role; this includes capturing and telling stories of our projects from start to finish, creating a clear visual language and strategy for social media and website, as well as helping us establish a cohesive presence across platforms like LinkedIn.

Weekly hours: 24 hours |
Salary: London Living Wage / £355.20 per week |
Duration: 12-month fixed contract (starting ASAP) with potential of extension and increased salary depending on progression and projects. |
Reports to: Hive Curates management |
Days: Preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday |
Hours: 10am - 6pm |
Overtime: Evening work at events will either be taken in lieu or paid if signed off by Hive management. |
Location: Hybrid / London on location for project work |

Hive was founded in 2019 by artists and curators, Mark Beattie and Chantelle Purcell. Our mission is to bridge the gap between culture and community, emphasising the transformative power of creativity in our everyday environments. We deliver a wide range of projects from cultural programmes to light festivals, public art commissions to artist talks and workshops.

Job Requirements

Good interpersonal and communication skills; outgoing, friendly, and self-assured. |
Good skills using InDesign, Photoshop & Canva. |
Thorough understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram. |
Excellent communicator; both spoken and written. |
Ability to work well with the Hive team and also independently. |
To be confident and proactive, bringing creative ideas to the table. |
Good interpersonal and communication skills; outgoing, friendly, and self-assured. |
An interest in the arts is desirable. |
Experience with website design and SEO is desirable.

Job Responsibilities

Analyse current channels for Hive Curates & Broadworks, create a social media strategy and present to Directors for sign-off. Strategy will have a clear direction, manner of communication, and help spotlight everything that Hive is achieving.
Manage the social media of both Hive Curates and Broadworks; with 2-3 posts a week on HC Instagram and 1 post a week on BW Instagram. Grow followers and engagement on both channels.
Create regular blog posts for Hive Curates to promote our latest news or spotlight past projects.
Create weekly LinkedIn posts celebrating completed projects.
Capture content from various sites, during live events or workshops, and accompany Directors on project site visits to ensure the 'process' is recorded.
Update website(s) to ensure content is fresh and engaging, and reflects what Hive Curates is working on now.
Send one monthly newsletter for both Hive Curates and Broadworks.
Assist on the design of a new website.
Design pitch decks and credential presentations.
