This is an amazing opportunity to be at the forefront of launching Rochdale Town Hall as one of the largest visitor attractions in Greater Manchester. Working across all main business areas, this role will market the creative, commercial and conservation elements of what we do as a venue based team.

Job Description

After 4 years of major restoration, in March 2024 the beautiful Grade 1 listed Rochdale Town Hall opened its doors to the public for the first time in its 150 year history.

After welcoming in excess of 20,000 visitors in its first 8 weeks of opening, we are now seeking to recruit a dynamic Marketing & Audience Development Manager who can lead our marketing campaigns on all aspects of what we do: commercial, engagement, events and conservation.

The Marketing & Audience Development Manager will devise, manage and deliver an effective and engaging marketing strategy for Rochdale Town Hall and Town Hall Square. A dynamic strategy that realises and promotes Rochdale Town Hall as a unique, signature venue and a vibrant, engaging visitor attraction for key local, regional and national audiences.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be dynamic, ideas driven, creative, knowledgeable and passionate. They will possess a proven track record in marketing cultural venues, experience of working across multi-functional teams, and an in-depth understanding of how to reach target audiences through strategic marketing campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

The post leads on all marketing campaigns for live and digital projects that relate to all the main public functions of Rochdale Town Hall: Commercial (including the new on-site restaurant), Engagement & Learning, Events & Functions, Volunteering and The Conservation Studio.
