This role is about planning smart, effective campaigns, but also being visible, present and engaged - building relationships, understanding audiences, and supporting the day-to-day delivery of our work.

Location: Junction Goole
Responsible to: Head of Arts & Culture
Responsible for: The role does not include line management responsibility but requires close collaboration with colleagues, freelancers and external agencies. The postholder will provide day-to-day task direction to a part-time Marketing & Communications Assistant (two days per week) to support campaign delivery.
Hours of Work: 22.5 per week (to be worked over three, four or five days, in agreement with successful candidate)
Grade: SCP 17 (£31,022 FTE, based on 22.5 hours per week pro-rata salary: £18,864.73)
Closing Date: Sunday 18 January (end of day)

The role

The Marketing & Communications Manager leads the strategic development of Junction Goole's marketing and communications, while also taking an active, practical role in delivery. You will plan, implement and evaluate campaigns across our artistic programme, creative engagement activity and wider organisational priorities.

You will work closely with colleagues, visiting companies, partners and funders, using insight and data to grow audiences, improve access, and demonstrate impact. You will also play a key role in how Junction Goole presents itself locally, regionally and nationally.

This role combines big-picture thinking with day-to-day action - from campaign planning and audience analysis to content creation, relationship-building and reporting.

Job Requirements

This role will suit someone who:

  • Is confident working with data, insight and reporting

  • Understands the realities of arts marketing in a local context

Experience working in the arts, culture or a related sector is desirable, but we are equally interested in transferable skills and a strong understanding of audiences and communications.
