Ronnie Scott’s is looking for a Part-Time Marketing & Communications Officer. Join us to craft content, help manage our digital presence, and capture the energy of live shows in the club. Ideal for a creative, organized storyteller with a passion for music and a keen eye for detail.
- Location: Soho, London (on-site, with occasional remote work)
- Reports to: Head of Marketing
- Contract: Permanent, part-time (2 days per week)
- Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends to attend live shows and events.
- Salary: £17/hour
The Marketing & Communications Officer will support all aspects of Ronnie Scott's marketing activity - from content creation and social media management to email marketing and live event coverage.
You'll be responsible for maintaining a consistent brand voice across digital channels, capturing the energy of live performances, and helping grow and engage our audiences both online and offline.
This is a role that combines creativity and technical skill, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced live music environment and enjoys working collaboratively.
Essential
- Experience in marketing, communications, or content creation (arts, music or hospitality sectors preferred).
- Proven experience managing social media accounts and developing online communities.
- Strong photography and videography skills, including editing for social media platforms.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a keen eye for tone, accuracy and visual style.
- Experience using creative tools such as Canva, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Confidence and professionalism when representing the club at live events.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and genuine enthusiasm for jazz and live music.
Desirable
- Experience using email marketing, CRM and ticketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, DICE, Spektrix).
- Basic knowledge of SEO, analytics, and paid social advertising.
- Experience working with artists, performers or at live events.

Marketing & Communications Responsibilities
- Create and schedule content across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn)
- Capture and edit video and photography from live shows and behind-the-scenes
- Engage with audiences online and monitor analytics to improve reach
- Produce digital assets, artist features, and campaigns reflecting the club's spirit
- Collaborate with artists and internal teams to ensure brand consistency
- Draft and distribute email newsletters and support targeted campaigns
- Attend shows to document performances and maintain the image library
- Assist with website updates, event listings, and wider marketing initiatives
- Liaise with external suppliers and contribute ideas for audience development
