Job Summary

Charles Burnand Gallery is looking for a Marketing Manager to help shape how our galleries are seen, heard and experienced from our current Fitzrovia gallery to our new destination in Mayfair and the Cotswolds.

Job Description

You'll lead our marketing and communications across exhibitions, design fairs, digital content, social media, press and events, building a coherent voice across every platform and touchpoint. This role is hands-on, strategic and highly creative: crafting campaigns, managing content, working with photographers and filmmakers, and building relationships with editors, journalists and partners in the design and art world.

Job Requirements

Skills and experience required

  • Proven experience in marketing within a design/art gallery, luxury brand, or design-led company.
  • In depth experience in marketing within a gallery, design studio, or luxury brand environment.
  • Strong visual sensibility and understanding of design, materials, and contemporary design.
  • Excellent written communication skills and editorial judgement.
  • Experience managing digital content and social media platforms.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident working across teams.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Management:

  • Develop and execute a clear marketing strategy
  • Evolve and execute the gallery's brand identity across all channels
  • Create compelling campaigns that engage collectors, designers and press

Exhibitions & Events:

  • Lead marketing efforts for exhibitions, client events and art fairs
  • Manage photography, videography, and documentation
  • Ensure all materials and communications meet the gallery's design and presentation standards

Digital & Content Management:

  • Create and maintain the website, newsletters and all social media platforms
  • Plan and deliver content calendars
  • Analyze performance and audience engagement.

Press & Communications:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with design, art, and lifestyle editors and journalists and external PR agencies
  • Write press releases, manage press packs and imagery, and coordinate media coverage
