Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead our communications about who we are and what we do. 22 hours per week, worked flexibly as agreed. Salary £18,180 per annum (full time equivalent £30,300)

Job Description

  • Develop marketing plans that are in line with business plans and ensure that marketing strategy is followed, implemented, and updated

  • Create and curate clear and compelling content for various websites, email campaigns, social media platforms, and print

  • Manage and develop the website

  • Supervise and support the Marketing Officer to maximise effectiveness and enjoyment

  • Work closely with the senior management team, including engaging in internal communications exercises

  • Liaise with FOH, bookings, and programme teams to set, track, and meet audience development and income targets

  • Support artists to promote their shows and hirers to promote their classes and workshops at OFS

  • Analyse audience feedback forms and report / make decisions

  • Analyse performance of digital platforms including website, e-newsletters, social channels, and report / make decisions

  • Oversee engagement with customers and the community at large as required demonstrating good judgement, for example responding to comments on social media, escalating concerns to line manager / senior management team

  • Work with the fundraising team providing relevant information and support as requested

  • Create discounts and comp opportunities including finding reviewers

  • Manage promotion and press opportunities including drafting and sending quarterly releases

  • Commission and work with designers, web developers, and printers as required

  • Manage the marketing budget

The post holder will have input into creative and business planning and strategies as part of an inclusive practice.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in arts, events, and/or non-profit marketing

  • Experience of developing and delivering marketing strategy

  • Experience of designing, producing, and disseminating engaging content

  • Strong interest in the arts, audience development, and the OFS mission

  • Working knowledge of social media

  • Experience managing press enquiries

  • Excellent relationship management and organisational skills

  • Data analysis experience

  • The ability to work to strict deadlines, work under pressure and use initiative

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Energy and enthusiasm to be part of a small, hard-working, human friendly team

  • Working knowledge of website CMS, email marketing tools, design solutions and MS Office

  • Budget management experience
