The Stage Management team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Monopoly Lifesized. Collaborating closely with Front of House (FoH), they work diligently to guarantee the efficient execution of the games. This dedicated team offers both operational support and pastoral care.

Job Description

UK made - internationally focused, catering for the worldwide market. We are not an immersive production house, nor tied to the linear rules of promenade or walk-through theatre. The primary aspect of our experiences that bands them together is they are always participatory, based on existing characters or trademarks and have gameplay built into the fabric of the experience, materially affecting the narrative through line and conclusion for the participant.

Selladoor Worldwide is a renowned UK and International Theatre Producer, and full-service General Management provider, founded in 2009. We have produced celebrated West End runs, iconic UK and international touring productions spanning four continents, and supported the opening of highly successful location-based entertainment productions and performer-led tourist attractions. Current productions include Madagascar the Musical (UK & International), and We Will Rock You (International) alongside leading on general management on Monopoly Lifesized and The Paddington Bear Experience in London.

Rollout:

  • Contract period: Initial period of 6 months (with the potential to extend), from 18th August 2025 - 22nd February 2026 (inclusive).
  • Self-employed contract for 30 hours across 5 days, paid at £15.90 per hour. Contract includes holiday accrual and SSP.
  • Opening Hours and Working Hours: The experience is open 6 days a week. Working hours will normally fall between 7 am and 11 pm.

Job Requirements

As DSM day-to-day duties include:-

  • "Calling in" the live games and keeping the games to time according to the schedule.
  • Oversee the smooth running of the live games, in conjunction with the SM and other DSM.
  • Support the Performers, SM team and FoH team in any potentially conflicting situations on the boards - stepping in to de-escalate and/or knowing when to call Security (training provided).
  • Communicate efficiently over radio to the SM team and FoH.
  • Compile and distribute daily games reports.
  • Compile incident reports as required.
  • Manage the game rotas in the event of ASM or Performer emergencies, such as illness.
  • Cover for the Stage Manager in their absence by updating and distributing the ASM rota.
  • Know all ASM tracks and cover in emergency situations such as illness.

Job Responsibilities

Relationships:

Company Manager, Stage Management & Wardrobe teams for day-to-day operations across the games.
General Management team for ongoing issues and day-to-day operational requirements.
Ticketing & FoH teams to ensure the smooth running of the games.
Director of Venues for H&S requirements and any building issues which may impact staff or gameplay.
Resident Director for the implementation of creative or practical notes.
Performers.

Essential:

Ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually.
Ability to remain focused and calm when under pressure.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Self-motivated and able to manage their own workload.

Desirable:

Passion for and experience in immersive production(s).
