We require a committed, well-qualified Freelance Artist to join our creative team immediately, carrying out non-accredited training in the subject area of large-scale Mural production

Job Description

This post offers someone who has an innovative approach to workshop delivery and design, with excellent communication skills, a fantastic opportunity to join a highly motivated team of like-minded individuals and educators within the organisation who are committed to teaching ex-offenders and hard to reach individuals.

Ideal for an experienced mural artist, this is a rare chance to harness the wonder and excitement of the creative arts and use it to enhance learning environments behind the walls of a large foreign national Prison in the South East.

Job Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding, radical and inspiring artist with the ability and commitment to work within a small team or independently. They will have knowledge and experience of designing and painting murals, sketchbook techniques, the core visual art principles; Line, shape, colour, composition, value, form, abstract, implied.

Knowledge of contemporary mural art practices and contextual references is essential, in addition to the dedication, energy and resolve needed to make a significant difference to the lives of serving prisoners.

How to Apply

This is a freelance position on a part-time basis, working approx. 16-24 hours per week, with a starting hourly rate of £18.75 equivalent to the listed Salary.
