Job Description

Little Music Stars is a joyful, creative music and movement programme for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers - inspiring children to explore sound, rhythm, and self-expression through play.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Music Teacher to lead our weekly sessions in Tulse Hill every Friday afternoon. This role will involve working with a small group of SEN (Special Educational Needs) children at a welcoming local nursery, using music to help build confidence, communication, and connection. Sessions may include small group or 1:1 activities, depending on the children's needs.

  • Lead a fun, inclusive 1-hour Little Music Stars session each week (Fridays).

  • Use songs, movement, and instruments to engage and inspire young learners.

  • Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of SEN children.

  • Bring warmth, patience, and positivity to every session.

Details

  • Location: Tulse Hill, London (nursery-based)

  • Hours: 1 hour per week (Friday afternoons)

  • Pay: £45 per session

  • Dates: 7th November - 12th December

  • Training: October half term (date TBC)

Job Requirements

What you'll do

  • Bring warmth, patience, and positivity to every session.

What we provide

  • A full lesson plan and all music for each session - ready to go.

  • Full training during the October half term, so you feel confident and supported before starting (at £20 p/h)

  • Ongoing guidance from the Little Music Stars team.

What we're looking for

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in early years or SEN settings.

  • A love of music - you don't need to be a professional musician, just confident singing and leading activities.

  • Friendly, reliable, and confident in front of a group.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Your own portable speaker and device to play music from
