DreamArts fuses arts and therapeutic practice to support wellbeing. Our acclaimed EXPERIMENT Programme engages 7-19-year-olds to explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills.

Job Description

The candidate will be working with two groups of our regular Junior members ('Small' aged 6- 8yrs and 'Medium' aged 9-12yrs). You will facilitate group singing classes and song writing that will empower members to produce their own original work, including two 20- minute mini-musicals to perform at our Gala. You will part of a vibrant team and be able to balance process and end product, delivering a programme that is 'community with a commercial edge'.

The role is every Saturday from 10am till 14:00pm

fee: £30 per hour of delivery and £18 for planning/meetings

Job Requirements

Looking for a Facilitator with 2 years experiencing in teaching singing , songwriting with young people to run classes for the Saturday group ( 10am till 14:30pm) from October till March ( excluding half terms )

(the role is two times per month, and there some extra rehearsals on February for the final show! )

Training day: 28th of September

Starting day:4th of September

Job Responsibilities

  1. To devise, plan, develop and deliver the singing sessions for two different age groups. This must include session-by-session plans
  2. Sessions should utilise a variety of arts-based youth work methods designed to meet the educational and developmental needs of children and young people.
  3. To work alongside the Senior Wellbeing Practitioner and potential external partners in the delivery of a high quality service.
  4. To attend and contribute to daily debriefs to reflect on how the sessions have gone in terms of participants' creativity and wellbeing as well as contributing to the next step
