Key Responsibilities
- Rehearsal Management: Plan and lead regular rehearsals, ensuring a productive, engaging, and enjoyable environment for choir members.
- Musical Literacy: Choose and welcome ideas for (mainly 4-part) repertoire that suits the choir's approach and aligns with our ethos. Use your musical literacy to ably guide the choir through their parts and resolve any challenges.
- Vocal Coaching: Provide guidance on vocal technique, harmony, dynamics, and expression to help members enhance their singing skills. .
- Communications: Great verbal and written communications to ensure members are well informed and updated on any choir matters.
- Performance Preparation: Prepare the choir for live performances including concerts, community/festive events and Street Choirs.
- Choir-Building: Bring enthusiasm and foster a supportive and inclusive culture, encouraging participation, improvement and celebration of the choir.
RATE OF PAY -
2 1/2 Hours per week @ £32/hour for rehearsal, session and summary email.
£35/hour for any additional work, including performances.
Pay levels will be reviewed upon successful completion of a six month probation.
NI & TAX - The successful applicant must be registered as self-employed and is fully responsible for paying all relevant contributions to HMRC.
