Enthusiasm & Approachability: Excellent communication skills and a warm, engaging personality that fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage rehearsals, concerts, and other choir activities effectively, with attention to detail and forward planning. Rehearsal Leadership: Direct weekly rehearsals, ensuring they are engaging, productive, and focused on vocal technique, harmony, and performance. Music Selection: Choose and arrange a varied and engaging repertoire, suitable for the choir's skill level and diverse tastes, while also introducing new and challenging works. Performance Direction: Lead the choir in performances at local concerts, festivals, and community events, ensuring the highest standard of musical delivery. Musical Development: Encourage and support the musical growth of each choir member, offering constructive feedback and coaching where necessary. Collaboration: Work closely with the choir's committee and other staff to plan events, concerts, and tours, and to promote the choir's activities within the local community.
