Job Summary

Hand Of is an arts education charity dedicated to enriching the education of disadvantaged children and young people. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic part-time Office Administrator, to assist in maintaining financial, HR, and general records.

Job Description

You'll work together with our office team to support day-to-day operations and planning, assisting in the monitoring and maintenance of our records.

This includes:

  • Using Xero to keep reconciling up to date, support invoicing, and monitor budgets.
  • Ensuring our management budgets in Google Sheets are up to date, helping to manage and monitor our budgets and fundraising strategy.
  • Liaising with schools to ensure that Indemnity and Image Consent Forms are completed and kept up to date.
  • Liaising with artists to ensure that relevant paperwork such as PLI certificates and DBS checks are kept up to date.
  • Creating risk assessments for our projects.
  • Ensuring that our policies are updated in a timely manner.

Job Title: Office Administrator
Salary: £275 p/d (16 hours per month)
Hours: Part time
Role: Admin, Secretarial & PA
Contract: Freelance, rolling
Closing date: 5pm, 5th December 2025
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (hybrid role)

Job Requirements

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Enthusiasm for learning new systems and IT software

Job Responsibilities

  • Work together with Hand Of team to assist in maintaining our budgets, records and policies.
  • Reconcile payments and assist with invoicing.
  • Liaise with schools and artists to keep relevant paperwork up to date.
  • Provide general office administration support.
