N.B.

You don't need to tick every single box. I'm looking for someone with genuine passion for life, ambition, and confidence they can listen, understand, observe, & help. If you're reading this thinking "I only meet half these key responsibilities, but the person description sounds like me," send in an application anyway. Your enthusiasm, curiosity & ability to derive joy by helping someone the way they need it are more important than checking off boxes.

I'm also open to hearing from people who have a narrow but strong set of skills & see a specific task or system they could help set up or complete-not ongoing support, targeted work for a finite amount of time. If that's you, please email with the subject line "Alternative Support for Artist With ADHD," introduce yourself & explain your idea.

Job Requirements

* Experienced in a creative industry (e.g. photography, fine art, film & TV) or have your own creative and freelance practice or, without the aforementioned, you have demonstrable experience successfully supporting others similarly

* Registered as sole trader with UTR and willing to invoice Access to Work directly, or be paid 1 month in arrears

Proactive, organized, curious before suggestive (trying to understand before trying to solve), enjoy being helpful (but also maybe a touch Type A)

Some level of familiarity with (or willingness to learn about) neurodivergence/ADHD

Some experience working as a freelance creative

Understanding that being an independent artist means running a small creative business-experience with (or desire to learn about) the practical sides of sustaining a creative practice: websites, social media, marketing, client sales, fine art sales, self-promotion, audience building, etc

Job Responsibilities

Help develop & maintain a weekly schedule building towards my medium & long term goals.

Help me overcome weekly anxiety paralysis from decision overwhelm

Investigate the Why behind my struggles to first understand first & then propose ways to realize my ideas or solutions to my problems.

Work together to identify where in a given task I get stuck (starting, mid-process, or finishing) & proactively jump in to help-then help identify practical solutions to prevent similar blocks in the future
