Job Description

Job Title: Part Time Teaching Assistant For Art Club

Hours: Shifts Monday - Friday slots available, 3 hours & 2 hours

would suit someone local to Finchley, Highgate,

Hampstead

Salary: £15 per hour,

Reporting to: Club Manager

Certificates: DBS desirable or KDA will apply for an enhanced DBS

Description:

Working directly with the children you will be responsible for assisting the lead tutor to deliver the planned activity sessions within ours clubs. Activities will include arts and crafts. You will be part of a high-quality team transitioning the children from school to the club and ensuring they have the best care, great art sessions and are safe at all times. We offer full training and support for your development as a constant feature of your time with us.

The tasks and responsibilities:

  • Set up and tear down of studio space for each session
  • Set up and clean-up of equipment and materials for each session
  • Assist tutor to deliver mixed ability art sessions in a range of art activities
  • Provide feedback on children's progress and welfare to the club manager
  • Provide support for children at all times
  • To help with the day-to-day running of club
  • Supervise the transport of children from school to the club, always ensuring punctuality, diligence and safety

Skills you will need:

  • Caring and supportive - the ability to be both firm and caring at all times in a busy environment.
  • Full of creative ideas to provide the children with a varied and dynamic activities
  • Good communication skills with children and within a team
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks to a high standard
  • A proactive approach to getting things done
  • High levels of enthusiasm and motivation
  • Ability to adapt and problem solve
  • Commit to being part of a team and supporting colleagues in their work
