About EXXY
Exxy is a major new performance by Dan Daw Creative Projects; designed for mid/large scale space.

At the heart of EXXY is the push-pull between Dan's ambition to take up space and create the disabled-led work that is currently missing from large stages, and the self-doubt that starts to rise inside of him, as a working-class, queer Crip artist, at the audacity that he would be the one to try to fill that gap. A question Dan and Sarah keep coming back to is: "How does Dan navigate the precariousness of maintaining his sense of self-worth whilst living within a World that places little value on Crip and Queer bodies?"

Dan is an artist who is looked up to and he has realised that, even when doing the biggest show of his career, he still also needs to see himself reflected and have someone to look up to. We feel that having performers who literally reflect his physicality will do this. We want to cast three performers with Cerebral Palsy or other similar motor related disabilities as the ensemble, which feels important for the story we want to tell.

What we are looking for:

• Three male presenting and/or non binary performers, who are comfortable portraying men, with personal lived experience of Cerebral Palsy or other similar motor related disabilities.

• Those with experience creating within a professional collaborative devising process

• Confident movers - You don't have to have had any formal training in dance. We are interested in unique, extraordinary performers who will respond to the tasks in their own ways.

• Performers who are open to sharing their lived experience within the process. This will be done with care and transparency.

• Those able to travel internationally.

• We would also love to connect with people who come from working class backgrounds to increase opportunity for performers from these background.
