Hey I'm Niall! I'm a qualified dance theater director and choreographer. I have a rare neurological condition called moyamoya disease. My vision changes on a day to day basis, it's like ADHD for the eyes. Some days I can see details clearer and then on other days my vision is like a telescope out of focus. My medication helps me through my worst symptoms. Very rarely I can have a TIA (mini stroke). This can be caused by various factors so it is important for me to have a PA monitor me. I graduated from Brunel University in 2001 with a 2:1 in Modern Theatre. I have had a varied career in theatre and dance and have worked with companies such as Velcro, Rambert, Gloucestershire dance, Impact Theatre and Candoco. These experiences led me to start my own company PrefaceMorn (2007-2018). We made different types of projects during those years and were supported by Arts Council England. After 2018 I had years of being inactive due to personal reasons. Now, I have started to work as a freelance artist again and I am planning to reopen my company in a new format. I am looking for someone to join my team of personal assistants/carers to support me with my everyday life and my career as a performing arts practitioner. I acknowledge that this role is about personal care, but the ideal person for this role will not only be able to support me in my everyday life, but will also be invested in supporting me with my creative goals. It is highly preferable that the person applying for the job has experience in any form of performing arts themselves. Part-time (around 21-28h/week): The job is a part-time role and we are happy to discuss the amount of hours that would best suit you and us in the second round of the application process. The work falls usually between 10am-5pm. Pay: The hourly pay is set by The London Borough of Ealing and The London Mayor, which at the moment is £13.15/hour. This is set to change in April 2025 to £13.85/hour. Requirements: Support at home: Support for artistic practice: We understand that everyone is different and we want you to apply in whichever way you feel best shows your skills and experience.
