Job Description

We don't do polite art. You don't do average framing.

We're on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Picture Framer to join our team in a dynamic contemporary art setting in Dalston. This is a hands-on role within a small, creative studio that supports both in-house exhibitions and external client work.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys working with artists and collectors, and can manage their own workload efficiently within a supportive and professional environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in professional picture framing
  • Proficiency across the full framing process (mounting, cutting, joining, stretching, fitting)
  • Confidence in advising clients and artists on framing options
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all aspects of picture framing and canvas stretching to a high professional standard
  • Liaise with clients and artists in selecting appropriate frames and finishes
  • Deliver exceptional craftsmanship to meet the high standards of our clientele
  • Maintain the organisation and upkeep of the framing studio
  • Manage your own workflow and timelines to meet deadlines

The Role:

  • Part-time: 2 days per week to start, with flexibility on working days
  • Scope to grow as the volume of work increases
  • Work within a close-knit team in a contemporary gallery context
  • Contribute to a space where quality, creativity, and community matter

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a setting that values great craft and good people. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
