Description

Job Summary

The Plays Licensing Manager will manage, license and promote rights to a diverse array of plays to theatre producers and theatres.

Job Description

The Plays Division is a one-person department within the company, focusing on our catalogue of Josef Weinberger and MTI plays.

Among the works we represent are:

  • The most popular plays of Arthur Miller
  • All of the stage works of Ingmar Bergman (including the stage rights in his famous screenplays)
  • Major plays by the likes of Jospeh Kesselring (Arsenic and Old Lace)
  • David Mamet (Oleanna)
  • Ernest Thompson (On Golden Pond)
  • Mary Chase (Harvey)
  • John Steinbeck (Of Mice and Men)
  • John Godber (Bouncers/Shakers)

Recent acquisitions for our plays catalogue include the West End hit 2:22 A Ghost Story and David Seidler's The King's Speech.

Alongside our principal business of licensing musicals, the atmosphere in our open plan office is collaborative and supportive, with plenty of cross-communication between plays and musicals personnel. These two strands of the business share many contacts as a great many theatres and producers produce both plays and musicals.
