We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Graduate Music Assistant to join our thriving Prep Music Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent conservatoire or university graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a highly supportive and ambitious educational environment, with potential shared accommodation available as part of the package. Working closely with the Director of Music and wider Music team, the successful candidate will assist with rehearsals, performances, concert preparation, music trips and the day-to-day musical life of the Prep School. There will also be opportunities to contribute to ensemble coaching, 1:1 support and wider departmental activities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, while spending part of the role working alongside the Senior School Music Department. Brentwood School offers a vibrant and flourishing music culture, with regular concerts, choirs, ensembles and collaborations across the School community. This full-time, one-year, term-time role is ideal for someone passionate about inspiring young musicians and developing their own professional skills within one of the country's leading Prep Schools. Graduate Assistants, whilst based in the Prep School department, will spend a 20% of their time in the Senior School working with the Senior School Music Department. This enables our Graduate Assistants to develop a holistic view of education 3-18.
The School and the Senior Leadership Team are strongly supportive of Music and recognise the important role they play in the life of the whole School community.
Full Time, one-year contract.
Term time only. Plus up to 4 weeks in school holidays as directed by the line manager, which may include residential trips.Job Responsibilities
