Description
We're looking for a Procurement Assistant to join us on a 6-month international art consultancy project. This remote role reports directly to the Managing Director and involves coordinating with artists and suppliers, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring the timely and smooth execution of orders and logistics.
This role is ideal for someone highly organised, detail-driven, and passionate about art and interiors.
- Previous experience in procurement is required
- Interest or experience in the art or interior design industry (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident managing suppliers and tracking multiple project tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office tools
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree or background in Fine Art, Design or a related creative field (preferred)
- Experience in a gallery, interior design studio, art consultancy, or creative agency is a plus
- Raise and manage invoices and client quotes
- Place and track purchase orders with global suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers and artists, maintaining strong, professional relationships
- Monitor production and delivery timelines to meet project deadlines
- Record and manage costs, payments, and invoices using Excel spreadsheets
- Coordinate the logistics of framing, shipping, and installation planning
- Assist with general project documentation and admin
- Manage and oversee artists, ensuring contracts and project requirements are met
- Maintain and archive project specifications, contracts, and procurement documents
- Vet new suppliers for quality, reliability, and pricing
- Flexible hours, depending on work schedule
