Job Summary

Creative Crawley is creating a new full time role of Producer to support the Creative Director in creating and delivering an ambitious programme of work in 2026/7. They will be someone who can turn creative ideas into reality by curating and delivering an creative programme in Crawley, West Sussex

You can read the full Job Description below but the key areas are:

Programming: working with the core Creative Crawley team, you will drive the curation of the summer, autumn 2026 and winter 2027 seasons leading to the National Festival of Play in partnership with Hemingway Design in summer 2027.

Logistics: you will oversee the delivery of all events working in partnership with the Associate Production Manager and technical teams to deliver all aspects of the events on time, safely and to budget.

Communications: you will work closely with the Comms Team to ensure the projects reach our target audiences and connect with the diverse and eclectic population of the town.

Fundraising: you will work closely with the Co-Directors to raise the resource we need to deliver the programme.

Budget Management: you will know how to manage budgets of up to £150k with flair, flexibility and attention to detail.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience (a minimum of 5 years) of acting as lead or primary producer and/or curator for live performance/theatre and or public art commissions across a range of scales and types of locations
  • A strong network of contacts in the arts, including outdoors arts, festivals and participatory practice
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a place based capacity, collaborating with a range of stakeholders in a town or city and presenting work in non traditional arts spaces
  • A robust network of sector contacts and expertise to effectively profile the programme and its outcomes
  • Experience of managing single or multi-year project budgets of £150,000+
  • Experience of working effectively with design /technical /production /Front of House /creative teams
  • IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Google Drive
  • A place to stay within a one hour commute from Crawley, West Sussex
