Job Summary

Theatre Deli is seeking a part-time, entry-level producer to support the delivery of key strands at our new venues in the City of London & Tower Hamlets, and develop our outreach in the local area of our Leadenhall Street venue over the next year.

Job Description

The Producer (Projects) will be managed by the Producer and support on existing projects, including our Residency programme, our City Fringe strand, and our Deli Meets workshop and networking programme. You will also develop and deliver ways in which Theatre Deli can engage with our local communities, particularly those in Petticoat Lane and Mansell Street. This role also works closely with the Marketing Coordinator supporting marketing campaigns and outreach strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

Outreach

  • With the Producer & CEO, develop new opportunities to engage with our local communities, examining ways in which our activities can expand their reach and connect with underrepresented artists.

  • Create strategies to further our outreach with our current opportunities, including: SHIFT+SPACE, our Enfield Residencies, City Fringe and Deli Meets

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local community groups and organisations to support outreach

  • Plan and deliver a programme of outreach activity in Theatre Deli's new venue on Leadenhall Street

  • Alongside the Marketing Coordinator, create outreach strategies when marketing our opportunities which target key demographics.

  • Complete monitoring & evaluation for your projects.

Projects

  • With the Producer, support delivery of London-based performance activity.

  • Assist the delivery of core strands of work including Residencies, Shift+Space and Deli Meets

  • Support in the delivery of the City Fringe and Voila festivals.

  • Work closely with colleagues including the Producer, Marketing Coordinator and Community & Studios Manager to ensure artists are provided with the best possible support.

Terms of Employment

Salary: £11,689.60 per annum (£29,224.00 pro rata)

Hours: 16hrs, Monday + another weekday 10am-6pm. Applications for flexible working are welcomed. Evening and weekend working will be required on occasion, with Time Off In Lieu (TOIL)

Contract type: Fixed Term (12 month)

Person Specification

Essential Attributes

  • A passion for the arts, in particular performance and participatory arts

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • The ability to problem-solve and create solutions.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience of community outreach

  • Experience of producing events or performance

  • Experience of and confidence in using online software, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and Sheets.
