Sanskruti Cambridge CIC is an award-winning Cambridge-based dance company creating family and children’s works. We are looking for a freelance, emerging, enthusiastic, producer/tour booker to join us from 1st April 2026.
We are looking for an emerging producer/tour booker to join our dynamic team. Our dance productions are rooted in south-Asian dance but highly engaging with audiences with original music score, storytelling and movement. We have a track record of touring nationally to a variety of venues- theatres, libraries, community centres, museums and hospitals. This role is suitable for someone who will be keen to get our work reach more audiences and families. Dates and Rates This contract is from 1st April 2026 to 31st December 2026. If we receive funding, we can extend this contract further. The fee for this role is £280 (£20/hour) for 2 days per month inclusive of VAT. Two days is equivalent to 14 hours per month and the work can be spread across the month. Work to be carried out between the core hours of 9.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility on how time is spent over this period i.e., it can be exceeded in one month (to be discussed in advance with the manager) or unused hours can be carried over to the following month. However, we cannot exceed the maximum fees of £2240 until 31st December, 2026. Work can be done remotely. If needed to be in person, the travel will be discussed in advance by the manager. Travel will be reimbursed. All travel receipts must be kept and attached to the invoice. Mileage is paid at 0.45p per mile. Application Deadline: Friday 20th March at 11:59pm
- You will be contracted as self-employed and be responsible for paying your own tax and National Insurance contributions. - You will be a producer in the early to mid- stages of your career, trained in producing and tour management. - You will be organised, confident, flexible, calm and approachable and a good team player. - You will have strong written communication skills with an attention to detail. - You will have good IT skills with experience of Microsoft Word and Excel. - You will have a passion for the arts particularly dance
The job includes: - setting up and tour management of the company's readily available production Magical Honey from Autumn 2026 and Tree of Life in a wide range of venues including theatres, libraries and rural touring. For Magical Honey, when booking the tour, focus on weekends and school holidays to facilitate the young performers involved. - working on the key administration areas in the producing department including drafting of standard contracts, creation of contact sheets, headshot sheets, performance schedules and other artistic administration tasks. - supporting casting on productions where necessary including availability checking. - maintaining a database of approaches - preparing deal memos and contracts. - working with the artistic team to produce any workshops or Research and Development.
