Description

Job Summary

Sydenham Arts is looking for a producer to develop and deliver a new creative programme exploring female experiences of the local area through participatory arts activities.

Job Description

We have received funding from London Catalyst for a project that will explore the needs and experiences of women in the local area and respond to these through creative practice.
This work will build on our previous project Street SmART which identified a number of barriers experienced by women in the local area. Street SmART demonstrated the impact of creative practice for community building and creating a safe space for women and girls to express themselves.
Over 2026-2027 the project will deliver a series of 10 creative workshops that will help build and promote a sense of community through artistic expression. We will also support two photography tours of the local area to encourage empowerment and ownership. The project will culminate with production of a new public artwork informed by participants throughout the project.

We'd like you to show an understanding of our local community, ensure that the workshops are sensitive to participant needs and help develop better community cohesion through engagement with the arts.

Job Requirements

We are seeking a partner who is:
Interested in engagement with the arts and communities
Has experience of delivering workshops to generate positive outcomes
Is able to manage a project, ensuring delivery is timely and achieves objectives
Can manage the sensitivities of working with potentially vulnerable groups
Has experience of undertaking monitoring, evaluation and reporting to project funders
Knowledge of or connections to the local area are desirable

Job Responsibilities
