The Production Assistant supports the day-to-day management of West End productions, including both Broadway and international transfers, tours, new productions, large-scale productions and workshops. The Production Assistant works closely with the Production Coordinator to deliver the allocated productions on budget and to schedule. They will support and assist the production process from start to finish including schedules, negotiations, recruitment of production staff, processes (including accounts, payroll, royalties, marketing, technical), company welfare, press nights and travel/accommodation. The Production Assistant supports the smooth running of the production and delivers Playful's work to the highest standard. The Production Assistant works on more than one production.
On specified Productions;

Job Requirements

* Professional experience coordinating theatre productions, including musicals and plays
* Experience supporting large scale West End productions
* Skilled in the day to day coordination and management of productions
* Experienced in booking and managing travel and accommodation logistics
* Excellent written, verbal communication and numeracy skills
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, with confident internet research skills
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work evenings and weekends when required

Job Responsibilities

* Support the coordination of productions from pre-production to closing
* Assist with production setup, casting, rehearsals and recruitment
* Draft and issue contracts, maintaining accurate production records
* Support payroll, invoicing, financial monitoring and investment agreements
* Coordinate travel, accommodation, visas, insurance and house seats
* Liaise with producers, creative teams, company management and production staff
* Support press nights, marketing activity and production programmes
* Produce schedules, welcome packs, meeting minutes and organise production meetings
* Assist with health and safety, employee relations, training and access performances
* Deputise for the Production Coordinator and General Manager as required, ensuring productions run smoothly and decisions are implemented efficiently
