Job Summary

Chris Harper Productions are looking for a Production Coordinator. With Productions such as Othello (Theatre Royal Haymarket), The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Theatre Royal Haymarket), and more in 2026 to be announced. We are looking for an experienced General Manager to join the team.

Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

- To support the Producer, General Manager and Director in all aspects of the general management of current shows and the development of upcoming shows.

- To support the Finance department in day-to-day financial processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide efficient, accurate and timely general management support to the Producer and General Manager, this will include work on contracts, schedules and workshop productions including:

  • Assist all aspects of the day-to-day running and administration of productions
  • Work with Producer and General Manager to draft and issue all contracts and paperwork for each production
  • Working with General Manager to log production expenses against budgets for assigned productions.
  • Ensure high standards of company welfare are maintained across productions
  • Work with Company Manager to ensure best practice communication.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel and accommodation arrangement including creating and communicating detailed itineraries, and company visa applications.
  • Support Casting Director to coordinate availability checks, auditions, recalls and offers for performing companies.
  • Support the Producer and General Manager on events such as first and last night parties, Press Nights, promos and other events.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with creative teams and companies with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Proof programme and website copy, updating content as required, with the marketing teams.
  • Follow up as required with Producer on Show Reports, Call Sheets and Accident Reports.
  • Provide day to day administrative support to Finance, this will include invoice paying and filing, overseeing the careful filing of all credit card receipts.

Job Requirements

Previous experience as Production Assistant or Production Coordinator Is essential.

- Essential previous West End Theatre Experience working within a busy producing office.

- A Strong administrative background with a keen eye for detail.

- An innovative creative thinker.

- Highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills.

- The ability to work both independently and part of team.

- A passion for Theatre and theatre-making.
