The Role

We are seeking a Programme Administrator to join us in a full-time, permanent role. You'll provide support to the whole Programme team, learning about all areas of programming, production, marketing and finance in a dynamic environment.

The role exists to lead on the administration of the Kings Place programme of shows and events, from managing the diary systems, liaising with artists, communicating event details to the marketing, box office and production teams, coordinating settlements, to attending shows and connecting with artists and industry members.

The Person

This is a great opportunity for a creative person with basic administrative skills and a keen interest in music arts and culture, who would like to further their experience in a venue environment. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be computer-literate (from Excel spreadsheets, email communication to larger-scale diary management systems), have some experience in an arts centre/media environment and the ability to manage short-term and long-terms tasks simultaneously.

Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Closing Date: 6th June 2025

Kings Place operates a hybrid working model. The role is partially venue based, for meetings and collaborative working. Administrative work can be done remotely with line manager approval. Staff work approximately 60% on site and 40% WFH, and our standard office hours are 10-6, but this is open to flexibility.

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Educated to A-level (or equivalent) or above
  • A good level of numeracy skills
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Diplomacy, tact and honesty
  • Ability to manage short term and long-term tasks simultaneously
  • Passionate about music, spoken word and comedy
  • Flexible approach

Desirable

  • Previous experience in programming, production or events
  • Suitable experience in an arts centre or media environment
  • Experience of working with Artifax
  • Experience of working with Aqilla
