Job Description

As Programme Assistant you will deliver a multi-functional role assisting with the delivery of the Hub's busy visual arts public, education and community engagement and development programmes. You will also be involved in supporting events and projects at the Hub, in Sleaford, and occasionally across the North Kesteven District.

Working hours: 24 hours per week

Salary: £15,017.18 per annum (full time equivalent £24,402.92) Evening and weekend work is required for events and workshops, time off in lieu is given.

Candidates for the post will be creative with excellent attention to detail. You will have brilliant administrative and organisational skills, be confident in communicating with a range of audiences, and enjoy working collaboratively in a busy environment.

This new role represents a great opportunity for an early* career arts professional to work within a small but ambitious arts organisation. We are keen to work with and support someone who wants to learn and develop their skills in an encouraging environment and shares our passion for delivering high quality visual arts arts programmes. *By early we are not referring to age and include people that are looking for an entry level role in the arts sector, or looking to move into the arts from other complementary sectors, or people returning to work after a career break etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Hub's visual art programmes including research, administration, coordination and some hands-on delivery
  • Maintain good comprehensive knowledge of the Hub's seasonal programme and contribute ideas to help shape the development of new opportunities through active participation in team meetings
  • Support the research, development and delivery of free, accessible and inclusive creative activities within our main gallery Activity Hub
  • Liaise with artists and facilitators to plan and coordinate workshops and events
  • Respond to all education enquiries and help deliver talks and tours of the exhibitions to visiting schools and groups
  • Prepare Hub spaces for workshops and events
  • Assist with finance and evaluation tasks
  • Support marketing and event delivery across the programme
