Description

Job Summary

To co-ordinate Project Enable, a partnership arts and music programme based in New Parks. The post is part-time at 30 hours a week. It is based at our 50 New Walk office in Leicester city centre but considerable time will also be spent in New Parks at Team Hub and The Herewoode Academy.

Job Description

Project Enable is a project that works from the New Parks estate, one of Leicester's most deprived neighbourhoods. It is a partnership between ourselves and

  • The Herewoode Academy, the local academy school for 11-16-year-olds
  • Team Hub, the local community organisation who runs the community centre and provides a wide range of support to the whole estate

Project Enable's aim is to raise aspirations and improve life chances of young people in New Parks. Core to achieving these aims is to make young people feel better about themselves. We apply an 'Engage, Develop, Progress' model, so 11-16-year-old's can

  • build their confidence, identify and reach a specific aspiration (stage 1),
  • broaden their horizons and try new things in new spaces (stage 2), and
  • take risks and step outside of their comfort zones to explore opportunities beyond (stage 3).
