Job Summary

Working closely with schools and cultural organisations MADE supports and delivers multiple projects and initiatives for children and young people. Your job will be to oversee, facilitate and manage all projects, outreach and engagement, with support and direction from MADE’s Director and Chair.

Responsible to: MADE Director and Chair

Hours: 22.5/30 hours per week (flexible working and hybrid options available)

Contract: 16 months (with potential to extend, subject to funding)

Location: MADE office, Z-arts, Hulme, Manchester, M15 9ZA

MADE is a positive, forward-thinking and relationship-building organisation housed in Z-arts, Manchester's premier arts centre for children and families.

Working closely with schools and cultural organisations MADE supports and delivers multiple projects and initiatives for children and young people up to the age of 18. These are all curated to meet our 4 key pillars: Creative Curriculum, Youth Voice, Health & Wellbeing & Employability.

Your job will be to oversee, facilitate and manage all projects, outreach and engagement, with support and direction from MADE's Director and Chair.

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience managing multi-faceted projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, planning, & time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and digital).
  • Experience in budget management and reporting.
  • Experience working in child-focused, youth or education settings.
  • Ability to manage and carry out administration tasks with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with IT systems and digital tools (Microsoft Office, Outlook Office 365)
  • Ability to schedule, minute & follow up meetings effectively.
  • Commitment to inclusion, equality and wellbeing.
  • Enhance DBS Certified or willingness to undergo checks.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Lead planning, delivery, and evaluation of projects and activities.

  • Manage timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and documentation.

  • Align projects with MADE's vision and strategy, producing reports and case studies to demonstrate impact.

Communications & Advocacy

  • Deliver inclusive digital strategies and communications campaigns.

  • Manage website, social media, newsletters, and digital content.

  • Advocate for MADE locally and nationally, building partnerships with schools, cultural organisations, and youth networks.

Leadership & Management

  • Report to the Chair and Board, supporting funding and evaluation processes.

  • Collaborate with Trustees and partners on programme planning and development of MADE's curriculum and youth voice priorities.

Finance & Strategy

  • Manage budgets, monitoring income and expenditure (via Xero).

  • Support funding bids, evaluation reports, and long-term strategic planning.
