Job Description

More about the role:

The Project Manager, Residencies will oversee and support delivery of 6 free, multi art form residencies being delivered in primary, secondary schools and community settings in Sherburn in Elmet.

Working with JEM Associates and Now Then's Creative Programme Lead, you will co-ordinate each residency, managing and nurturing artists and support practitioners and liaising with partners. Each residency will typically deliver a weekly 2-hour workshop (with some intensives during school holidays), leading up to a co-created sharing at Now Then! Festival, Sherburn.

Now Then!'s Strategic priorities in Sherburn are focused on the benefits of engaging with creativity. We want to see positive health and wellbeing outcomes for our participants, from reduced isolation, to increased confidence and self-esteem.

Now Then! aims to reach and engage participants who may not typically be able to access the arts; from children and young people eligible to free school meals and/or with Special Educational Needs, to adults experiencing inclusion, health and economic inequities.

  • This role is offered on a self-employed basis
  • 2 days per week or equivalent. Some flexibility is required around project needs. (A day is based on 8 hours of work to include a 30 minute lunch break).
  • 42 days in total, at a £250 day rate.
  • Total fee: £10,500 (based on 42 days)
  • Start date: late February or as soon as possible
  • End date: Late June
  • You must be available for Now Then! Festival, Sherburn on Sunday 14 June 2026

We envisage the work will mix remote project management with some attendance at meetings, engagement activity and some attendance at workshops.
