Description

Job Summary

Warwickshire County Council Library & Information Service are seeking a temporary part-time Project Manager to support WLIS, its partners and stakeholders in the delivery and promotion of our Arts Council England-funded Discovery Den - the first library-run sensory mobile library in the country.

Job Description

Initially for an average of 5 days per month over a 9-month period, but with potential for contract extension. Hours will be variable dependent on project demands. Flexible/remote-working arrangements will apply, but face-to-face attendance at weekly meetings in Warwickshire will be required, with a particular focus on the north of the county.

We are looking for a competent and imaginative individual to project-manage the vehicle launch and implementation, and to support engagement. Experience of project co-ordination, stakeholder engagement and reporting to ACE are essential. It is desirable to have an in-depth knowledge of Warwickshire as a place.

The successful candidate will need strong organisational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, experience of managing/co-ordinating projects, and an awareness of the challenges facing Warwickshire - particularly in terms of health and wellbeing.

Key tasks will include:

organising and facilitating countywide stakeholder workshops and reporting the results
working with colleagues to develop an action plan incorporating feedback received
organising and attending project meetings - including drafting agendas
producing e-newsletters, bulletins and regular project reports, including for ACE
producing content for web updates
liaising with key partners, including ACE - keeping them informed, onboard and enthusiastic
research and evidence-gathering
exploring funding opportunities and drafting applications
supporting a programme of events and activities related to the project
working with SEND families and appropriate settings to gain insight and inform direction
ensuring project plans are up-to-date and agreeing deadlines for project milestones

This is an interesting opportunity for a confident and capable co-ordinator who can prioritise and manage their own workload with minimal supervision.

The hourly rate is £60 per hour.
