Description
We are seeking an outstanding, proactive and diligent musician to join our team as a Future Talent Relationship Manager (London and South East), responsible for delivering our impactful programmes and supporting gifted young musicians across a broad range of genres from low-income backgrounds.
As the Relationship Manager (London and South East), you will play a vital role in the management of Future Talent's programmes, reporting directly to the Senior Relationship Manager. Working collaboratively with the CEO, Marketing and Operations Manager, Finance Manager, and the
expanding Relationship Manager team, you will provide a tailored music development programme to our talented musicians. This includes offering diverse and varied mentoring, organising development activities, and facilitating performance and recording opportunities. Additionally, you will be responsible for effectively managing the financial awards provided to our musicians.
Your responsibilities would include:
Relationship management and mentoring
- Acting as the first point of contact for all musicians and families supported by Future Talent in London and the South East.
- Provide career and general musical advice
- Work with each musician and their parent/guardian to provide them with a mentor and relevant opportunities
Programming
- Devise and deliver a programme of varied and innovative performance, recording and development opportunities tailored to the individual young musicians and support them and their parents/carers to enable them to participate in the programme
- Pro-actively build professional networks and information channels that maintain an excellent
understanding of relevant developments, stakeholders and opinion from across the music
industry to support the creation and delivery of high-quality projects
Administration
- Manage annual application process
- Ensuring full case studies on each musician are mainted
- Update Apricot CRM
- Assist the Senior Relationship Manager in developing meaningful partnerships with regional
music services and music organisations in London and the South East

- A degree in music
- Experience of working with professional musicians
- Experience of working with children/young adults
- A network of music industry contacts
- Demonstrate a knowledge of at least three of the following areas within music: the classical and orchestral sector, opera, experimental and contemporary music, electronic, jazz, folk, music of black origin such as hip-hop, afrobeats, RnB, Amapiano, and grime.
- Willingness to attend evening and weekend events as required
- A current, clear DBS check or willingness to go obtain one
