Description
Purpose of the role: In collaboration with the Chief Executive, to create and develop excellent and productive relationships with Big Difference Company stakeholders, and to create and deliver a development plan that generates revenue for Big Difference Company.
Hours: 24 hours a week. Big Difference office hours are 9am to 5pm but flexibility will be required for evening, weekend and out of hours working.

Key responsibilities
Business Partners Club and Festivals Sponsors
- To be responsible for relationship management of a portfolio of funders and sponsors
- To evaluate and renew existing Business Partners memberships.
- To evaluate and renew existing Sponsorships.
- To actively create and develop new relationships with new Business Partners and Sponsors
- To monitor and ensure the delivery of all benefits for sponsors and partners.
- To lead and deliver a programme of corporate events as part of Leicester Comedy Festival, and throughout the year, including but not limited to the City Mayor's Launch, the Alternative Business Awards and Stand Up Challenge.
Fundraising activities
- With the Chief Executive, to create a fundraising strategy for Big Difference.
- In line with the business plan, research funding opportunities for the charity, the festivals and the venue.
- Support the relevant team members to complete funding applications and develop relationships with funders
- To deliver all funding and stakeholder reports
- To develop and manage an individual giving strategy
- To develop and oversee fundraising events
Essential
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills and an ability to interact clearly and confidently with a diverse range of people
- Proven success in generating income and support
- Experience in developing successful funding bids
- Experience in generating and managing sponsorship and partnership relationships
- Experience of managing budgets
- An understanding of charitable values and experience of building a case for support
- Willingness to work flexibly and additional hours
Desirable
- An interest in arts and entertainment and an enthusiasm for live events
- Experience of working for a charitable or non-profit making organisation
- Experience of planning and delivering events
